The Engine.
The operating system, run with you every month: the read, the rhythm, and the builds that move the roadmap.
What it is
The Engine is The Truth Layer plus a standing budget of attention pointed at the operating system itself. Books and the monthly read stay the foundation. On top of them, Fieldcraft runs the rhythm and the leverage: the weekly pulse, the decision record, and the AI builds that move your roadmap forward, month over month.
It maps to how the work actually stacks. The Truth Layer is the numbers you can trust. The Engine is the rhythm and the leverage built on top of them. Most ongoing engagements live here.
What you get
- Everything in The Truth Layer: clean books and the written monthly read.
- A standing budget of attention you point where the month needs it.
- The operating rhythm: a weekly pulse and a monthly read that reinforce each other.
- Decision memory: the record of what was decided, why, and who owns the next move.
- Practical AI builds: monitors, narrators, and workflows attached to real operating jobs.
- Active execution of the roadmap your Diagnostic surfaced.
The standing allotment
Each month includes a budget of Fieldcraft attention you point where the business needs it: a roadmap item, an AI build, a stretch of extra cleanup. Think of it as capacity you own, not hours you have to spend carefully. There is no clock on the invoice. When work compresses because the process is good, that is your gain, not a smaller bill.
The Build Queue
Bigger projects from your roadmap run as fixed-price builds on top of any engagement. Each one is scoped and quoted before work starts: this project, roughly this much, your call. No metered hours, no surprise invoice. Genuinely strategic work is quoted the same way, on the deliverable rather than the clock.
What it costs
Scoped to the work and set after a short call or a Diagnostic, because the right size depends on how much of the operating system you want run with you. Fixed monthly fee, never hourly.
The useful discovery was never a better spreadsheet. It was the management architecture around it.
If the books are the first problem, start with The Truth Layer. The Engine is where it grows when the operating system itself becomes the work.
